About This Cabin
Slow down. Settle in.
The Turtle was designed exclusively for couples — a one-bedroom retreat where every detail serves one purpose: bringing two people closer together. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls frame the forest on all sides, and a dramatic 7' x 6' picture window sits directly behind the king bed, so you wake up inside the trees.
The spa-like bathroom features a fully tiled walk-in shower with a 7-foot glass wall looking straight into the forest, plus plush his-and-her robes waiting on the hooks. A modern electric fireplace warms the living space, while a 65” 4K TV with every streaming service and a PlayStation 5 are there for the rare moment you want a screen.
Outside, a private deck holds a hot tub and propane fire table — and a Ninja wood-fired pizza oven for nights when you'd rather cook under the stars than drive into town. But the real showpiece is the elevated observation deck at the top of the property: a swinging bench, a propane fireplace, and nothing above you but sky. It's the best stargazing spot in the valley.
African-inspired design, Starlink internet, self check-in, and a 4.97-star rating from 77 guests who came as couples and left as conspirators. The Turtle was designed to feel like a deep breath — and it delivers.

For Two
The best couples retreat in the valley.
Wake up to a wall of forest behind your king bed. Shower with the trees watching through seven feet of glass. Make wood-fired pizza on the deck, then climb to the observation platform and watch the stars come out over the Blue Ridge. The Turtle isn't just a place to stay — it's a place to remember why you chose each other.
“The space is lovely and thoughtfully designed and very well maintained.” — Prasoon
